I don't think I need to credit anyone on this. Everything was created by me... except for the point on the box with his eye in it (as it was from someone else's character design sheet. What?! I tried to draw the point, but I couldn't).

I don't even want to think about how long this took (like, a billion hours). @_@ I'm relatively happy with the outcome though. Pictured above is the flexy-witty-stumbling Onibi Keitaro, my original character for the series Naruto. I've drawn him before (the drawing's probably on the last page in my gallery), but this is his new, improved look. Goodness I love him so much. <3

If you haven't noticed, he's based a little off of Jack Sparrow and Edward Scissorhands. I suck. xD

Um, I recently noticed that Keitaro has some resemblances to Axel from Final Fantasy (or more specifically, Kingdom Hearts). Really, I didn't know who Axel was until a couple of weeks ago, so don't go chanting, "OMG yU CopEEd!!!111." I do like Axel now though. My fave in KH. xD

And guess what? I have an improved biography for him as well (though I know you wouldn't read it). It's right down there.

Oh, I almost forgot. His waist is actually supposed to be that skinny. I'm really not that bad with anatomy. *Snort.*

Appearance: His skin is deathly pale whilst his hair is a gray/brown and very unkempt (practically Jiraiya’s hair, but isn’t tamed with a hair-band and shoulder-length). The eyes are gray tinted. Makeup is applied around the eyes, as black streaks that run from the corners and spread outward in a fan-like pattern. His body composition is frail-seeming, yet muscular on the arms, legs and chest, yet the stomach is tapered to a sickly size as if he starves himself.
Clothing: Keitaro possesses a metal-plated chest guard cushioned beneath with sand. The forearms are dressed completely in long, close-fitting, mahogany gloves; a body suit of the same color hugs his torso, legs and neck, but his shoulders are bare. The shins are guarded with metallic plates. A white mantle is worn from a thick, black belt with one side untucked. Of course, he sports ninja sandals, which are combined with his body suit. Very flexible and eccentric.

Description: The assumption of Keitaro's personal taijutsu style is to off-throw the opponent, completely surprising them with strange and almost drunken-like movements; seeming very uncoordinated. The tactics come together in the end, however, and give the opponent quite a startle (similar to Guldo from Soul Caliber). This style requires blades, specifically Onibi's Kousen Hasami gloves.

The user though is naturally immune since the toxins are made from all the trace biological components in his lungs.

Description: After three simple hand seals, the user simply shoots their prominent arm outwards, grabbing the wrist with their off hand. Then, using the implants and the compressed air, the user creates and extended black colored arm made of compressed air and chakra. It is used as a means to reach into a locked door, or a room that has guards to grab an object in a secretive way without having to enter the room. At will the user can make this arm ethereal so it can go through locked doors, though it takes a few seconds to solidify the arm once again. The hand can actually even be used to physically strike an opponent who is far away or grab them, choke them, ect. The power of this physical strike or grab is that of fifty percent less than the user's base strength. The arm can extend fifteen feet forwards at will.

Demeanor: Keitaro is known for his altruistic nature; he often puts himself in harm's way to save other people, even his enemies at times.

To his opponents, Onibi merely seems like a drunken idiot (though he’s not drunk, mind you) and is not worth bothering. It’s only when they antagonize others is when Keitaro decides to step up and deal with the disturbance. That is possibly the only time he is drawn into scuffles, unless he angers someone. Onibi's gestures are believed to be a ploy to help keep his enemies off-guard, and it undeniably works.

His speech tends to be sharp, soft and rapid. Sometimes his train of thought goes awry and begins speaking of other things. All in all he is clever in words and is almost always right when arguing with others. He finds the loopholes in everything and uses them to his advantage. This trait often angers others, perhaps attracting more danger than normal.

All in all, Keitaro Onibi is a creative, frivolous individual who likes to work close with his comrades… too close at times.

Jasper's most obvious physical characteristic is a slightly drunken stagger, accompanied by random flailing hand gestures that make him look unfocused (or possibly slightly ataxic). Yet, when in battle he's fairly amble and smooth.


History: Onibi Keitaro was a highly educated, respected medical scientist and surgeon, and was on his way to developing vaccines for the diseases spreading rampantly throughout the ninja region. There was his unfortunate night however, when he fell to a horrid illness that slowly deteriorated his inner tissues and organs. Also, from his handicap, he was expelled from his occupation by the higher officials of science. The grief nearly killed him.

In order to keep his life, Keitaro gave his closest comrade, Zannen (who was a great surgeon/pathologist himself), all he knew and discovered throughout his extensive research, hoping that after his teachings, his friend would be suited to perform an operation he had been concocting for years. A surgical procedure that could quarantine an illness, and at the same time improve mental and physical attributes.

The operation was carried out during a state of unconsciousness. Alas, the longer the surgery carried on, the more his comrade came to realize his master would not survive. With regret, but determination, Zannen steered off course of Onibi's instructions and acted on a personal plan of his. An idea that would transform Keitaro's dying heart into wind-up apparatus, so he would not lose his life. It was performed and combined with Onibi's original wishes and by a streak of luck, it worked, but there was a huge drawback that was never foreseen. Keitaro had lost all of his memoirs, with the exception of his name. An addition was the awkward balance and movement he had acquired. But of course, the disease was quarantined, but not removed.

In order to conceal the grieving news he had endured before his amnesia, Zannen kept Keitaro's past life undisclosed. Even though he was physically capable of continuing his research, his knowledge was washed away. He would be unable to handle his past occupation. It was no good to refresh his memory on the grim subject, so his previous life was left unrepeated.

Not too long after, Keitaro had adapted to his surroundings and was soon fascinated by the style of the ninja. With his 'hysical upgrade' from the surgery, he was indeed suited for becoming a Shinobi. An ability he had gained was the ability to stop his life for the sake of recon missions, then come back to life. With a windup mechanism replacing his heart, he is able to time the length of his death. Automatically his heart can begin ticking again, depending on the setting (think of the Nazi assassin in Hellboy). However, this device is in every way as essential to his survival as a normal being's heart. If it's destroyed, he will surely die. Nevertheless, it is one of Keitaro's most remarkable upgrades granted to him by his comrade. Also achieved was extreme flexibility.

Zannen encouraged Onibi's change of heart, secretly hoping his new path would serve just as fruitfully as his earlier profession.

Unlike what Zannen had thought, Onibi remains unoccupied and bent on surviving, constantly researching worldly intelligence and attempting investigations of his own. From his erratic traveling he made friends (though they're usually poverty-stricken) with people all over the world, which gives him astounding connections to anyone and anything; another plus for his life as a Shinobi.

Forever he will be without his original cause, and he would never know...
